Spent roughllyy five hours on this beauty. It was drawn on paper first, which in itself took awhile. Them stripes man. Them stripes. Also - How do the back legs look? Lookin' for some critiques on this beauty.
Seriously love this Symph, so much improvement here, but since you asked for crit, here you go. The back is raised a little too high, and the body itself could be a tad longer. The ribcage is perfect, you have the subtle curve spot on. In the back left paw you can see all four toes, so you should see it on the front leg. The positioning of the front back leg it slightly higher. The two bones leading from the top on the leg, are the same length of the bone beneath it. Femur and something else, I can't remember the name. But this makes the actual foot small, where as here it's slightly too long, the paws are beautiful. And I love the position of the back paw on the front legs, but the jewel claw is placed higher. ( I don't know if it's the jewel claw on lions or if it has a different name that that on a wolf. ) The tail would also be slightly wider than you have it unless thats for design purposes. The eyes are gorgeous, and the shading is really pretty. You're really getting a style, and I love it. This is a beautiful pose, and you should definitely try studying the lion skeleton if you get the time, it really helps, and if needed, it shoes you how to measure things for accuracy.
This image is really beautiful, I love the design and the technique used for the fur effect, I really love that when someone does it well like you have. Really amazing job, you've improved so much! I hope this helps, and that I don't sound rude, if I do, I am sorry, not used to doing this. ^^
